Is being a DJ your main business or do you have another profession/career?
I do consider music to be my main because it’s what I love to do, I feel like music is a part of me almost like its ingrained in my DNA. Financially right now, music does not pay the bills so I do have a 9-5 but that’s just my job so I can afford to do music.
How long have you been DJing?
I started DJing in the 1990’s; I worked as a volunteer community DJ on WYBC in New Haven, CT. I started in the jazz format, then I moved to the Urban format, that’s where I learned how to mix records and match beats and eventually I got my own mix show on The Saturday Night Dance Party.
What kind of music do you play?
I play deep, soulful house music, I play hip hop as well, but I stick to the classics.
How do you get the crowd engaged, energized, and in the party spirit?
I just play the jams; I like to build the mood.
Do you take song requests when you play parties/events?
I do not like to take requests, I free style when I mix so for me it messes with my flow.
Where or what type of events do you normally play at?
I am a radio DJ, my show is currently streaming on 9 stations across the US and in the UK.
DJ's were the creators and inspiration for breaking new records, has this changed in your opinion?
Yes, before the internet the only way to hear a new record was on the radio or at the club so artists would always make sure the hottest dj's had their music. Now it seems the internet breaks new music.
In your opinion, what is the most important thing to be a good DJ?
Knowing your music, your audience and being able to read the room.
What would you say is the most rewarding part of being a DJ?
Being creative and making people dance.
Do you have any DJ's that you are inspired by?
Yes, I used listen to DJ Red Alert, Mr C., and Mr. Magic. I was amazed at the things these guys were doing they made me want to learn.

Currently, I’m working on growing and developing The Peace, Love & House Show, also I have a clothing line called Waveformz T-Shirts and Apparel I’m creating new designs.
