Rock and comics are colliding this summer as The Rolling Stones and Marvel unveil an exclusive collector vinyl series celebrating the band's upcoming album, Foreign Tongues. Scheduled for release on July 10, the limited-edition collection pairs one of music’s most enduring acts with some of pop culture’s most recognizable heroes, creating a crossover designed for both vinyl collectors and comic book fans alike.

The special U.S. release includes five collectible vinyl variants, each inspired by a different Marvel icon. Fans will be able to choose editions themed around Spider-Man, Captain America, Wolverine, Thor, and Hulk. Each version features exclusive cover artwork created by Marvel illustrators, along with a custom comic book insert designed specifically for the corresponding edition.

A New Chapter For "Foreign Tongues"

The collector series arrives alongside growing anticipation for "Foreign Tongues," the band's first studio album since the Grammy Award-winning Hackney Diamonds. Released through Capitol Records, the 14-track project follows the commercial and critical success of its predecessor, which topped charts globally and earned multi-platinum status.

The album was introduced through the singles In The Stars and Rough & Twisted, offering listeners an early glimpse into a project that blends the band's classic rock identity with fresh creative energy.

Recorded at Metropolis Studios in West London, "Foreign Tongues" came together during what the band has described as an exceptionally productive creative period. Once again, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood teamed up with Grammy-winning producer Andrew Watt, whose work on Hackney Diamonds helped reenergize the band's modern sound.

Legends, Collaborators, & A Final Charlie Watts Performance

Beyond the core trio, the album features contributions from longtime collaborators Darryl Jones, Steve Jordan, and Matt Clifford. The record also includes a particularly emotional element for longtime fans: a performance from late drummer Charlie Watts, captured during one of his final recording sessions before his passing in 2021.

Additional guest appearances come from an impressive roster of musicians, including Paul McCartney, Steve Winwood, Robert Smith, and Chad Smith.

Where Music & Pop Culture Meet

For decades, The Rolling Stones have transcended music to become a cultural institution. Partnering with Marvel extends that legacy into another storytelling universe, connecting generations of fans through collectible artwork, iconic characters, and a new chapter in the band's catalog.

As anticipation builds for "Foreign Tongues," the Marvel collaboration serves as both a celebration of the album and a reminder of how deeply music and pop culture continue to influence one another.

The Foreign Tongues x Marvel collector vinyl series arrives July 10 alongside the release of the new album.
