Breaking Through The "Glasshouse" With Eloise Viola

Written By: Big C

Eloise Viola's latest single, Glasshouse, serves as both the title track of her upcoming debut album and a powerful anthem addressing the complex issue of body image. The London-based singer showcases her talents in this disco-infused track, blending staccato strings with infectious hooks reminiscent of artists like Lizzo and Dua Lipa. Despite its danceable vibe, this debut delves into the sensitive topic of eating disorders, inspired by Viola's reaction to a controversial fashion trend. Through her music, Viola shares messages of self-love, empowerment, and resilience, setting the stage for her highly anticipated album release on May 10th. Reflecting on the inspiration behind "Glasshouse," Viola shares:

It started off as me talking directly to the author of that article, like 'who do you think you are saying what is and what is not ‘in’ about my body? What you have written has made me feel shit'." She further explains, "Everyone thought it was such an unusual image and name for a song. It felt like such a metaphor for the album – the transparency and vulnerability.

Viola's debut album, "Glasshouse," is a culmination of her journey from battling body issues and mental health struggles to embracing her strength and individuality. Collaborating with producers and songwriters across LA, Nashville, and London, Viola crafts a passionate pop record that resonates with authenticity. As she prepares to embark on a UK tour supporting Rebecca Ferguson, fans can anticipate live performances infused with Viola's empowering message.
