Don't Surround Lola Young With The "Fake"

Written By: Big C

Listening to the voices of people trying to determine your next move can be overwhelming. Drowning out the fraud noise, Lola Young counteracts with her music and pens the track Fake. As Amazon's Breakthrough Artist, this track is featured on her recently released project After Midnight. Although the media loves the emotional jazzy sultry sounds, these lyrics get deep and her vocals shed light in the dark. Lola says:

"FAKE’’ is a song about remembering the core of who you are, There is so much constantly being sold to us, so much that is trying to tell us who to be, whether it’s an advert or person on the street. How would we be if we ignored it all? When writing this song I was trying to drown out all the noise, it’s about remembering that everything other than what you personally believe isn’t the truth and to listen to your instinct about what’s fake. I hope whoever hears this relates and feels a sense of empowerment towards anything or anyone that has made them feel inadequate in their life.

Feeling empowerment is at the forefront in Lola's stage presence. She even made her U.S. television debut by premiering the single on The Late Late Show With James Corden. As touring resumes, be sure to keep up with rising star and follow Lola on Instagram

and Facebook. Until then check out the live performance below.
