Before Foo Fighters plug in for Vevo Extended Play, everybody brings something to the table—literally. Dave Grohl handles the BLTs, Rami Jaffee arrives with his Los Angeles Kugel, and the rest of the band fills out a potluck inside Studio 606. Nothing feels staged into perfection; the film lets the players look comfortable in a room that already belongs to them. Comfort is not the absence of preparation, it is what preparation looks like once nobody has to prove the count. The guitars can open up, the drums can hit with weight, and the quieter turns can remain quiet because the musicians trust the next entrance. Trust becomes the real subject of the short film, as Grohl sums up the connection:

I like the new songs just because they feel comfortable to play.\

That easy company carries into performances of Child Actor, Of All People, Caught In The Echo, and Unconditional from Your Favorite Toy. Between songs, the band looks backward at the records and sounds that helped build its musical language. "Your Favorite Toy" sounds like another room inside a house Foo Fighters have been building for years. This time, the food may bring everyone to the table, but the songs are what make them stay. Let us know your thoughts on the short film below.
