'Lay With Me' came from the mindset that you can write something simple and still make it powerful and meaningful. Asking someone to lie beside you is such a simple request, but sometimes even asking seems like too much. This song starts off with the first verse as a little confession of tenderness, how much loving someone else can make you into a different person. Throughout the second verse, I wanted a tonal shift into, ‘oh you made me love you, and then you feel guilty about making me feel like that’. At the end of the day, admitting that we’d both want to be next to each other.

The Los Angeles artist continues carving out a lane where shoegaze haze, industrial roughness, emo vulnerability, and alt-rock aggression all fight for space at once without suffocating each other.
