The modern world keeps shouting until even silence starts sounding artificial. Goose channel sensory overload directly into BIG MODERN!. Its their sprawling sixth album that transforms overstimulation, identity culture, and digital excess into something strangely exhilarating. Their latest single, Torero, captures that tension perfectly. Beginning with synthetic drones and heat-wave percussion before exploding into pulsing synth rock and cleansing guitar release. The song feels like driving too fast through a collapsing neon skyline with notifications still buzzing in your pocket. What makes the album concept resonate is that the band never pretends they stand above the madness. Mitarotonda spoke to Rolling Stone about the band’s intentions behind it, saying:
As I see it, all these ideas we’ve been playing with are an absurdist reflection of the confusion of existing in today’s world. Over-stated guerrilla marketing campaign with zero context or direct connection to anything, video of a five-minute rant from an unhinged executive, showing up at an NBA game in ridiculous sweatsuits…The album is a dispatch from interesting times, without judgment or superiority. We’re all in it the same – the exhilarating, disorienting experience of constantly being so ‘connected’. The overstimulating, high-resolution world of content streaming directly into your brain, in real time, all the time. Synthetic, prepackaged human emotion on demand for your entertainment. The nightly doomscroll bliss. The relentless worship of the projection of an image of self to the world. Identity as a brand. Your FACE… on your FACE. Somehow, more becomes less. Something is lost, but we’re not totally sure what it is. It’s awesome, and it’s terrifying.

That philosophy stretches far beyond the music itself. Between cryptic guerrilla marketing campaigns, Jake Lacy appearing courtside with the band in matching "FACE" hoodies, and immersive fan interaction tied to "BIG MODERN!," Goose built this rollout like an interactive social experiment mirroring the exact hyperconnected culture the album explores. Still, beneath the conceptual ambition sits a band continuing to grow into one of the most powerful live acts in modern jam-adjacent rock. Massive headline performances, international touring, and destination events like Viva El Gonzo prove Goose are scaling upward. Even more meaningful, the band continues using that momentum to support communities through the Western Sun Foundation, with proceeds from ticket sales helping grassroots nonprofits in cities across their tour routing. Goose are not just documenting the modern experience—they are actively trying to reconnect pieces of it. Let "BIG MODERN!" soundtrack the moments where the noise gets too loud to ignore.
