Even the quietest voices can carry the heaviest truths. At just 14, Iris Copperman steps forward with Middle School Dropout, a project which doesn’t lean on age as a limitation, but as a lens that's clear, honest, and unfiltered. Across six tracks, she transforms deeply personal experiences into something universally felt, blending soft, introspective pop with storytelling that feels lived-in beyond her years. There’s a rawness to her understanding and within it’s the sincerity it lands. As she continues to grow and Copperman captures the complexity of growing up without overcomplicating it. Both personally and artistically, the message remains clear: kindness, self-awareness, and resilience are her mission. Copperman says:

With these new songs, I hope that people feel inspired to be kinder, to give themselves some grace and give grace to others, too. Above anything else, kindness is the message I want to keep driving forward.

That honesty becomes the foundation of the EP, shaping a narrative rooted in both pain and perspective. Tracks like Rose and Kinder shift the focus from hurt to understanding. Whether it’s the symbolic bus ride in Struggle Bus or the marked locker in Bully, each moment reinforces her ability to translate emotion into imagery. With collaborators like Shane McAnally and Annie Schindel helping shape the sound, the project maintains a strong musical foundation while allowing her perspective to lead. Stream "Middle School Dropout" now and follow Iris Copperman as she continues to turn honesty into impact on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
