A spotlight flickers in black and white, between a disco saddle and a midnight Western. Jessie Ware pulls listeners closer and whispers, hold on. The forgotten single Ride is a slow-burning, high-heat invitation, that's sensual without apology and playful without losing control. Built on a hypnotic groove of disco western, that subtly nods to The Good, The Bad & The Ugly, the track moves like a rollercoaster of tension and release. Ware’s vocals "Hold my hips / Watch me move," showcases a cowgirl confidence, arms wrapped tight like a lasso. Talking about the track, Jessie said:
Ride was the first song I wrote for this record. I made it in 2024 with my best friend Jack Peñate and Karma Kid, who feature throughout the album. It’s a song for the clubs, for the dancefloor - fun, cinematic, cheeky and powerful. I first performed it at NYC Downlow at Glastonbury after headlining West Holts, and I’ve been waiting two years to finally put it out. I know others have been waiting too… So here it is. You’re welcome.

First unveiled at Glastonbury’s NYC Downlow after her West Holts headline set, “Ride” lived in legend for two years before officially arriving. It’s a deliberate step back into stylized romance, reframed for modern dance floors. The single leads into her upcoming album Superbloom, a project poised to expand her universe of tension, physicality, and late-night drama. Until April 10 let Jessie Ware take you for a spin in the official video below. Stream "Ride" now connect with Jessie Ware on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
