The streets raised him, and now he’s giving back – in music and in life. This Christmas, multi-platinum rapper Kodak Black delivered a special gift to his fans with the release of his third project in just two months, Gift For The Streets. Dropped unexpectedly the 12-song album sees Kodak teaming up with heavyweights like Lil Yachty, Veeze, Rob49, Juvenile, BG, and even No Limit Records legend C-Murder. The album is packed with standout moments. On Shit Show, Kodak crafts a hypnotic hook over an ethereal beat, backed by Veeze’s laid-back slur and Lil Yachty’s sharp verses. The partial Hot Boys reunion track Same Altima is a gritty narrative about survival, paranoia, and loyalty, with Juvenile and BG adding weight to the story. Meanwhile, Go Get Em takes a reflective turn, showcasing Kodak’s introspection, while Rob49 delivers a thunderous verse on street survival.

Kodak’s year wasn’t just about the music. Two days before the album release, Kodak surprised attendees at his Pop The Trunk Christmas Toy Giveaway, a free drive-through event in his hometown where 1,800 kids received toys. This followed his Thanksgiving tradition of distributing 1,800 turkeys in honor of the 1800 block he grew up on. Kodak’s commitment to his Florida community shines just as brightly as his music. "Gift For The Streets" arrives on the heels of two November projects: Dieuson Octave, a deeply introspective mixtape named after Kodak’s birth name, and Trill Bill, which leaned into Kodak’s charisma and playful energy. As "Gift For The Streets" closes out an extraordinary year, Kodak proves why his influence extends far beyond rap. Let us know your thoughts on the project below and stream the project here.
