With meditative grace, Midlake share a reflective new single, Days Gone By. From their sixth studio album A Bridge To Far, the track drifts between struggle and serenity. Accompanied by a spellbinding video starring Emmy-nominated actor James Lance and choreography by Phil Colgan. Lance first connected with the band after a transformative live performance at London’s Roundhouse. Its psych-folk textures mirror the eternal rhythms of the natural world, evoking both the ache of loss and the joy of renewal. Director Taylor McFadden shares:

For ‘Days Gone By’ we wanted to capture the feeling of making a choice to leave one life behind and open yourself up to new possibilities…filming in one take with golden-hour light turned the sun into another character in the story

The release channels sunlight into movement. Produced by Sam Evian at The Echo Lab in Denton, TX, "A Bridge To Far" also features guest vocals from Madison Cunningham, Hannah Cohen, and Meg Lui. To celebrate the album’s release, Midlake will headline select Texas shows this fall, including Amarillo’s Hoodoo Mural Festival on September 27, Austin’s Central Machine Works on November 14, and Fort Worth’s Tulips on November 15.
