People I've Met Turn Friendship Into "We Like Making Noise"

People I’ve Met celebrate chemistry on We Like Making Noise. Bassist Andrew Suster and drummer Orlando Wiltshire have played together since middle-school jazz ensemble, with vocalist and guitarist Moses Martin joining in tenth grade. Murmured verses open into an explosive chorus driven by Wiltshire’s breakneck drumming. Noise becomes music when friendship teaches everyone where to enter. That quiet-to-loud design works because the verse stores energy, the bass keeps the subdivision underneath it, and the chorus releases the whole ensemble at once. Martin explain:
I was sitting and the chorus popped into my head and Orlando beatboxed it. Fans keep asking for the noise. We keep giving it to them.
"We Like Making Noise" follows their debut EP Bunny and turns away from romantic complications to focus on the satisfaction of making something with your people. The trio developed its sound in Wiltshire’s garage before relocating to the East Coast and carrying the song into live sets. Martin, Suster and Wiltshire wrote and produced the track themselves, showcasing the originality and close to home vibes the band produces. People I’ve Met are touring with Florence Road, including stops at Bowery Ballroom in New York and The Sinclair in Cambridge.
