Ginger Winn’s haunting new single Escape spirals through the woods and into the heart of anxiety. With breathy vocals and melancholic ambiance, the singer-songwriter strips down her emotions across a wintery dreamscape. Premiered via Atwood Magazine, the video features Winn traversing the snowy Catskills alongside a looming wolfdog, a living metaphor for the grief and anxiety that stalk us all. Directed by Brooklyn Zeh, the video offers healing catharsis as Winn reconciles the pain of losing her father with a tender, symbolic farewell to his memory. Winn explains:
There’s a double meaning when I say ‘except me / accept me. It’s about being seen, by others and by yourself, and the terrifying vulnerability that comes with it.

Released ahead of her sophomore album Freeze Frame, due June 13, "Escape" pairs alt-folk serenity with raw inner confrontation, embodying the journey of fleeing from your mind only to realize it’s the only place you truly live. Produced by A.J. Yorio, "Freeze Frame" is a 14-track odyssey through grief, anxiety, and reluctant healing. Written during a record-breaking snowstorm in Cincinnati, the sessions found a sense of family and warmth amid the chill.
