A mouse can chase the cheese, but Temper City are more interested in the trap. Sex & Drugs turns modern romance into a cycle of appetite and consequence, pairing a direct alt-rock hook with lyrics that question whether fast attachment is feeling or chemistry. Singer-songwriter Eytan Peled and producers Aviv Barenholtz and Chen Kordova wrote and produced the single during a late-night session in their living room. The groove stays lean enough for the vocals to carry the argument, while the repeated pulse behaves like temptation returning before good judgment can settle in. Its accents and brief spaces keep tightening until the chorus with a push-and-pull that doesn't drain the fun. The trio explain the question at its center:

Are our chases after temporary, intense, fast attachments genuine feelings or just a biological reaction to fleeting highs?

The video turns that idea into a cartoon warning, following a mouse through blocks of cheese until desire redirects him toward a cat. "Sex & Drugs" also reached thousands of listeners from the Austin City Limits Festival stage across two weekends. The release follows Self Aware, which spent eight weeks at No. 1 on both Billboard Alternative Airplay and Mediabase Alternative while helping the trio reach more than 30 million monthly Spotify listeners. A debut album is due next year, with iHeartRadio ALTer EGO and M3F Festival already waiting on the calendar. Let us know your thought on the official video to "Sex & Drugs" below in the comments.
