The Lemonheads make a striking return with Key Of Victory, the latest single from Love Chant. This is their first collection of all-new original songs in nearly 20 years, and the brand new track shows just how much they’ve evolved without losing their spark. Drifting in like a late-night confession, it pairs Evan Dando’s introspective lyrics with Apollo Nove’s winding guitar lines and Erin Rae’s spectral harmonies. Caring the weight of lived-in experiences, Dando explains:
“It’s quiet, it’s bitchin’. It’s pretty and it’s modal… I was trying to do like a ‘Street Hassle’ vibe, you know?”

Written with David Ashby and recorded at Abbey Road, the song trades punchy riffs for meditative sway, offering a softer counterpoint to the urgency of previous singles Deep End and In The Margin. "Love Chant" gathers an all-star cast of collaborators, from J Mascis and Juliana Hatfield to John Felice and Nick Saloman. Each guest helps weave the record’s sonic tapestry, spanning psych-folk gems, riff-heavy rock, and country-tinged detours. Pre-save "Love Chant" to experience The Lemonheads’ long-awaited return on October 24.
