There’s a particular stillness that arrives when the noise fades and the questions remain.

Tomás Tomás lives in that moment on I Gotta Look Up More off his debut EP, Sweet Sleep. The singer-songwriter and producer trades spectacle for sincerity, letting haze, softness, and unresolved curiosity guide the experience. Co-directed alongside actor Jaeden Martell, the video drifts like a half-remembered dream of a gently unfolding visual meditation, mirroring the emotional gravity. Shot with a handmade, almost fragile intimacy, the video captures a restless search for fulfillment. Domestic quiet and chaotic release exist side by side, suggesting that meaning isn’t hidden in extremes, but somewhere in the tension between them. Tomás Tomás says:

Jaeden and I are always talking about meaning within life. It’s so hard to make sense of it all. It can drive you mad trying to see the signs. Eventually everything becomes a sign. It felt natural to make a video about that exact thing. The search for meaning. The search for what truly matters. I like to think that when you find the answer you get rewarded. Not in any materialistic way, but a feeling of fulfillment and understanding. Somehow we were able to convince a bunch of insanely talented people to help us make this ridiculousness and I think we may have pulled it off.

For Tomás, the song itself functions as a private conversation — one born from burnout, isolation, and reflection. The visual acts as the second chapter in a three-part series, expanding Tomás Tomás’ world without spelling it out. Written during a period of withdrawal, “I Gotta Look Up More” carries the weight of unspoken emotions, leaning into vulnerability rather than resolution. That philosophy extends across "Sweet Sleep," a stripped-back seven-track project.
