Some artists write songs to preserve a moment while Leah Nawy rewrites them until they grow alongside her. That philosophy defines her debut EP, I Could Bloom From Here, a collection shaped across five years of personal evolution and creative refinement. Nawy allows each song to reflect where she was and where she ultimately arrived. The newly released Walking beautifully anchors that journey, pairing indie-folk warmth with soaring saxophone, layered harmonies, and a live-band spirit. It's admirable how the song celebrates growth while looking back at where it all began, Nawy shares the meaning behind the EP's earliest song:
'Walking' is an indie-folk song about letting go and accepting what you cannot change. It's about the peace in learning to accept yourself & others where they're at. Written after moving to NYC, it's the earliest song on my debut EP, 'I Could Bloom From Here'.

That sense of reflection extends across the entire project. Alongside three new songs, "I Could Bloom From Here" revisits earlier releases including Mixing Patterns, ordinary, Quicksand, and I Was A Flower, reimagining them with richer orchestration, textured rock dynamics, synth flourishes, and expressive instrumental arrangements. A classically trained multi-instrumentalist, producer, and songwriter, she brings influences from Brittany Howard, Mitski, and Japanese Breakfast into a sound that feels remarkably personal. Years of performing these songs live gave her the confidence to release "I Could Bloom From Here." Let Leah Nawy remind you that sometimes the most meaningful growth happens slowly, one season at a time. Follow her on Instagram, YouTube, Soundcloud, and TikTok.
