What made you come up with the name EAGLES LP and why?

EAGLES is a way of life. Elevated lifestyle. Always aiming to climb higher. This project is a mantra overall based on discipline, elevation and occurrence.

What was the process of creating EAGLES LP? Any ups and downs?

It was a heck of a process. Creating this project during a tough time and tough year. This project was made in 3 parts: the highs, the lows and the acceptances. It took me 7 months to create but every time I heard one of the new beats I knew exactly what to do with it. I wanted to make a project of feeling and awareness. Traveling from Bedstuy BK to South Orange NJ every Sunday to record and mix my songs was draining I took a whole week to myself to just rest. It genuinely felt like I was practicing and preparing for some type of marathon.

If you could time travel to any music era, which would it be and which music era do you see EAGLES LP in?

If I could time travel it would be during the 80s era where it was funk, synths, real musical vibes. As far as EAGLES LP I would've loved to release this during the beast coast, TDE era 2013-2017. Right now 2024 feels exactly like that era so it works out.

What’s your most favorite song and least favorite song on the project?

It changes every day lol even before I dropped it. Right now my favorite is probably GIVE THANKS. I honestly don't have a least favorite but if I had to choose it'd be RECOGNIZE YO LIGHT.

The featured artists on your project, how did you go about recruiting them? What was the process of creating with them?

They're all homies in real life. I've known Bohan since 2014, Thom and Synead since 2017, Dez since 2023 and Cece since 2024. It was all synergy I handpicked the beats and artists I wanted specifically to make a song with. We all meshed well with each other. Bohan was in China, Synead was traveling a lot, Thom and Cece were both working on their own projects but we made it work. Dez and I was always with each other during the process so we recorded it together.

If your life was a movie, what song from the project would the soundtrack be like?

My life is a movie and the song that is always playing is ON MY SOUL. The first song I made from "EAGLES LP" and the one that determined this catalog.

Can you explain the cover art and the symbolism behind it if there is one?

So first of all shout out to Eagle Deli in Bushwick BK. Originally I went there for "ON MY SOUL" cover art and when were filming the video the people there were welcoming and respectful. The son was amazed by us lol and we decided to shoot the actual artwork there with my crew members. Everyone's pose is based off my own actions: someone watching out observing the environment, politicking with the bros per usual, loading up my beats and logic on my laptop, doing the infamous ORG hand shake, packing a cone in my rolling tray and always on my phone lol. Small significance.

How does your music help people see the world differently? What effect you think EAGLES LP will have on the people?

I want people to view the world with less demanding, expectation and entitlement. And allow to exist and be with the natural order of our universe. We can't always control reality but we can understand and maneuver with it. I feel like "EAGLES LP" will allow those to fully understand me and if they can relate, they can understand themselves. Accepting who we are as beings. I want it to elevate, discipline and nourish everyone that listens.

The song "GIVE THANKS" has this universal feel to it which may be my favorite from the project. Can you tell me more about it?

It's crazy because this was the last song I created. By far the overall summary of the project and my life. For me it's like a buddha meditating in the middle of the projects courtyard as people walk pass. I praise jah and pray so much that when I receive my blessings I just express gratitude. Every day I tell someone I appreciate them. Life can be challenging but as long as you still here that's enough to be thankful.

Ultimately how do you feel now that it's out?

I feel at peace, relief and also internal excitement. Even my energy changed within the last 12 hours. I feel restarted and ready to run my course with it. I can't even sit down I got so much to do to roll this out. EAGLES!
