A hotel room tilts while the lights blur. Endearments transform the fragile beginnings of romance into synth-rock shimmer, on Marianne. Somewhere between a text left unanswered and a plane ticket not yet booked, longing turns electric. The single feels like a love story caught mid-sentence, letting distance pulse through every riff. The Paul Desilva–directed video amplifies that metaphor, placing the band inside a surreal room of mirrors that eventually shatter. Frontman Kevin Marksson says:

'Marianne' is about the uncertain and vulnerable moments at the beginning of a new relationship. It's a song about longing for someone who is far away, physically and emotionally, and what it takes to break down those barriers. We wanted the music video to emphasize that metaphor, with the band playing in a liminal place, bright and surreal, before the mirrors that are reflecting us literally shatter.

Driven by sunburnt guitars and atmospheric synth swells, "Marianne" builds patiently before erupting into thundering drums and widescreen emotion. The track arrives as the final preview of An Always Open Door, the band’s debut album landing March 6 via Trash Casual and produced by Abe Seiferth. With SXSW on the horizon and a hometown album release show set for Brooklyn’s Alphaville, Endearments are stepping confidently into a bigger frame. Stream "Marianne" now and follow the glow of Endearments on Instagram, Bluesky, YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, and Bandcamp.
