When the world gets heavy, find where the mountains breathe for you. With a spirit as gentle as a mountain breeze, indie-folk artist Hunter Metts unveils “Blue Ridge Run,” a moving tribute to the Appalachian escape which restores his soul. The track floats between lush acoustics and sweeping vocals, carrying listeners on a journey through the Blue Ridge Mountains and into a space of peace, healing, and reflection. Co-written with acclaimed songwriter Henry Brill and co-produced with Andrew Berlin, “Blue Ridge Run” showcases Metts’ poetic craftsmanship and signature emotional pull, adding another timeless track to his growing folk canon. Mett says:
The Blue Ridge Mountains are a place I go to whenever I feel uninspired, or whenever life feels really heavy. I wanted to create a song specifically about how free I feel whenever I’m there.

Where the mandolin, upright bass, and viola swell into a pure Appalachian symphony. Much like his viral breakout Weathervane, which has now surpassed 47.3 million global streams, “Blue Ridge Run” blends delicate storytelling with cinematic instrumentation that wraps around the listener like morning fog in the hills. The single lands ahead of Metts’ first-ever headlining tour, a crater wide tour, beginning October 28 in Minneapolis.
