A childhood home can disappear from your life and still keep every room lit in memory. Kira McSpice returns to that threshold on Return, the first single from The House. The album is the third chapter of her four-part project A Return In 4 Parts, built from a trance journey back toward the Harlem, Georgia, house she left at thirteen. Gothic folk, chamber textures, ambient harmonies, and an improvised choir turn remembrance into something emotionally present. Her operatic cry pushes against the softer instrumentation, like a voice testing whether an old doorway will open. McSpice describes the uneasy truth waiting for her at that door:

I couldn’t really ever come back once I left. It’s very different now, and it is not my home, but it felt important to be standing there in front of the house feeling how much it held inside its walls.

The official video carries the same tension into The Granite Church in Redding, Connecticut, where the album was recorded with co-producers Sean Brennan and Tyler Skoglund. Director Brandon Brumm uses mini-DV texture to connect home movies, memory loss, and the mystical movement. The visual choice with the grain makes the past feel reachable and unreliable at the same time. Watch as Kira McSpice's strongest moments come contrast with "Return." Pre-save the operatic force against fragile recollection within "The House." Follow communal voices against the private wound of Kira McSpice on INSTAGRAM, YOUTUBE, BANDCAMP, and TIKTOK.
