No polish. No disguise. Have It hits like a blunt conversation you didn’t ask for but needed to hear. Jesus Christ Taxi Driver don’t ease listeners in,they drop you straight into the grind, where ambition and exhaustion blur together. Guitars grind forward, drums stay relentless, and the energy feels like it’s chasing something it knows it can’t catch. It drives the record, turning frustration into something loud and unavoidable. The band frame it from the ground level, the everyday perspective, where effort doesn’t always equal outcome. Guitarist and vocalist, Ian Ehrhart said:

The American dream promises you can have it, but at a cost… You work til your fingers bleed, then you die. The things that are truly important begin to slip through those bloody fingers. ‘You could have it if you wanted to’ is a lie. They don’t want you to have it.

There’s tension baked into the structure, a constant push without release, mirroring the very idea the song takes aim at. There’s no resolution offered here. Just recognition. "Have It" sets the tone for Taxi The Rich, arriving April 24 via Midtopia. As the band closes out their current tour run, the timing feels intentional—momentum on stage, message in the music. Coming off festival appearances and growing attention in their home base, Jesus Christ Taxi Driver aren’t positioning themselves quietly—they’re making noise where it counts.
