Cleveland’s alt/psych-pop innovators Radderall and Muzzy Fossa join forces for their collaborative concept album The Club Is Open, arriving October 31. Alongside the announcement, the duo share a double A-side and video for Movies / Every Minute, pulling listeners deeper into a surreal, theatrical soundscape where irony and sincerity intertwine. Built as a narrative of duality, "The Club Is Open" follows two characters on a quest for a mythical venue—the Club—where short-term dopamine highs collide with the pursuit of something lasting like real love, friendship, and self-discovery. Radderall’s Zach Taneyhill says:

It’s a world unto itself—a place we built so we could get lost and maybe find a little meaning in the process. The movies seem to always show this unattainable version of life. They skew your perception of what happiness is supposed to mean.

The accompanying video, the second in a trilogy with Baseball and Planted, sees the duo transform into mimes, acting out ego-driven fantasies while questioning whether the chase was worth it. Using the moniker R.A.M. (Radderall & Muzzy Fossa), the album symbolizes resilience and renewal, bridging vintage textures, lo-fi experimentation, and psych-pop storytelling into a world that feels both strange and deeply human. The new singles offer vivid glimpses into this journey. “Movies” meets the protagonists at the club’s dazzling entry, its chugging guitars nodding to My Chemical Romance and early-2000s emo before sliding into a slowed-down outro inspired by Hall & Oates and The Eagles. With their shared love of drum programming, vintage synths, and analog textures, Radderall and Muzzy Fossa craft an immersive debut collaboration. Let us know your thoughts on “Movies” / “Every Minute” below and pre-save The Club Is Open.
