Cleveland-based alt/psych-pop duo Radderall & Muzzy Fossa deliver Planted, a fuzzed-out and melancholic cut that doubles as a meditation on self-love and renewal. With its spacious grooves and tropical R&B-tinged textures, “Planted” plants a message as tender as it is transformative. The track serves as the final preview before their immersive concept record The Club Is Open, With previous singles like Movies and Every Minute offering cinematic glimpses into that strange world, “Planted” now grounds the project in a spirit of self-discovery. Radderall’s Zach Taneyhill explains:

The message in the track is from the Earth, letting someone know how disappointed it is in how the earth is treated, The metaphor here is that the earth is you—we are all one with everything. The song is about realizing how disappointed you are in how you treat yourself, or let others treat you. This results in a need to return to your roots and center.

Out now alongside a Lynchian-inspired music video,  arriving October 31. Filmed inside Cleveland’s historic Masonic Temple, the video brings the theme to life with surreal imagery. The visual has characters watching idealized versions of themselves before transforming into plants, symbolizing atonement, growth, and renewal. Set against a backdrop of vintage synths, lo-fi textures, and R&B-inflected rhythms, "The Club Is Open" tells a conceptual story of duality—two characters navigating between fleeting vanity and the search for something lasting, like love, truth, and friendship. Stream “Planted” and watch the surreal visual below. Catch the Radderall live band on tour across the Midwest and East Coast this fall.
