Scotia Rose brings a spark catching moment with their vibrant debut EP, Good Times. Via Deko Music, the project captures a band stepping fully into its sound built off big hooks, sharp lyricism, and guitars that roar with purpose. Tracks like Good Times wrestle with questions of presence and purpose, while Be Your Baby nods to the band’s cover-circuit past. Alongside the EP arrives official visual for “Be Your Baby,” the punchy, pop-forward single which mirrors the group’s confident momentum. Frontman Jeff Weiss recalls:

I wrote ‘Be Your Baby’ the day after a cover band gig in 2022. It’s a very literal story. We were playing a LOT of Taylor Swift songs at the time. I think this was my attempt at ‘Wildest Dreams.’

The lineup, Weiss, Jason Laney, Marcela De Campos, Antoinette Ady, Andrew Koss, and Stuverud, brings together musicians who lived the city’s cover-band grind and emerged ready to write their own chapter. The result is a collection that blends existential self-reflection with nightlife romance and rock-driven urgency. As the band celebrates the EP with a release show at NYC’s Mercury Lounge, Scotia Rose continues building on years of collective experience across stages such as Bowery Ballroom, Brooklyn Bowl, Gramercy Theatre, and Music Hall of Williamsburg.
