“If the night feels endless, remember daylight’s comin’.” With that spirited energy, Omaha’s Space To Play officially step into the spotlight, announcing their immersive self-titled debut album. The project kicks off with Daylight’s Comin, a buoyant first taste filled with pulsing drums, radiant riffs, and lyrics that uplift funk-inspired warmth. Together, the five-piece craft an album that’s less about genre limits and more about becoming the fullest versions of themselves as artists. Frontman Matt Banta reflects:

He describes “Daylight’s Comin” as a song born mid-tracking, when the band searched for a groove-driven anthem that would celebrate dreaming big and being ready when opportunity strikes. Produced under their newly founded Omaha Music Group, the album channels themes of love, resilience, hope, and social reflection, giving the band full creative freedom. Rounded out by Clint Thomas, Kevin Thomas, Scott Evans, and Dana Murray, the lineup brings both seasoned perspective and fresh drive. Fans can catch the group at their official hometown record release show on September 12 at Omaha’s Slowdown, with special guest Matt Beck of Matchbox Twenty. Until then, stream “Daylight’s Comin” now and follow Space To Play on Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and Bandcamp.
