Even the greyest walls remember the sun. Nashville-based experimental duo Total Wife return with emotional renewal on their latest single second spring, the hopeful lead from their newly announced album Come Back Down. With gauzy guitar tones and poetic self-reflection, the track leans into transformation through memory, channeling both quiet grief and quiet hope. It’s a song that remembers what we forget: flowers bloom with or without us. Rooted in a search for softness amidst static, the band shared:
Ash started the lyrics in early spring 2020…Luna’s composition helped bring them to life.

Written in the aftermath of 2020’s stillness and solitude, “second spring” was a slow-burn evolution. The upcoming record "Come Back Down" follows 2023’s in/out and 2024’s 0 EP, which featured hard-hitting favorites naoisa and (dead b). They’ll support Dummy on October 2 at The Blue Room, with a full album tour to be announced soon. Pre-order "Come Back Down" set to release September 19.
