Portland’s The Macks build their own bizarre universe and torch it from within on Cypher Sore Eyes. Droning, relentless, and unnervingly odd-timed, the track fuses garage grit with experimental chaos. It’s a song that refuses to march in line, embodying the band’s reputation for dangerous, swagger-soaked rock ‘n’ roll. Channeling both CAN and Black Sabbath’s Planet Caravan into a raw meditation on disillusionment, the track is framed as both a social critique and sonic experiment—music that gnaws at conformity while celebrating unpredictability. Vocalist Sam Fulwiler says:
"Cypher Sore Eyes" offers a view from a cog in the war machine. The song explores shame and guilt when one is pitted against an enemy that they did not select themselves.
Guitarist Ben Windheim adds:
Cypher is downtrodden, relentless, and bleak… We did our best CAN impression with the percussion loops, which is leading us into some pretty heady jams on stage when we play this one live.

Only announced last week, "Bonanza" promises to be a miscellaneous rock odyssey that could only come from this bull-headed troupe of DIY grinders Previous singles Dually Of Man and The Modern Grape set the tone for "Bonanza," arriving September 25. The Macks will launch an extensive North American tour with Acid Mothers Temple, taking their warped vision to stages across the continent. Prepare for The Macks’ fall takeover and pre-save "Bonanza." Stream “Cypher Sore Eyes” and follow The Macks on Instagram, Spotify, AppleMusic, Bandcamp, and YouTube.
