A pulse begins in the body before it reaches the mind. On Gods In Heat, ISTA tap into that raw ignition point, where rhythm becomes instinct and sound turns physical. The new single surges forward with locked-in grooves, textured guitar haze, and stacked harmonies.

Born from an unplanned bass riff and shaped through collective momentum, "Gods In Heat" reflects ISTA’s devotion to real-time creation. It captures a band leaning fully into movement of self-awareness rather than escape. Frontman Rex Costello describes the track as:

...shake the listener awake to the intensity, splendor, stillness, chaos, and vastness of existence — a kind of cosmic recognition... really just what my body felt like expressing in the moment.

That philosophy extends into the official video, premiered via FLOOD Magazine, which mirrors the song’s tactile energy through collage-like animation and performance footage, evoking the sensation of flipping through a handmade zine where images hit before they settle. The single previews ISTA’s upcoming album In Sound To All, due April 17, while standing firmly on its own as a communal listening experience. With recent West Coast performances and a Los Angeles debut at School Night, supported by KCRW, who named their earlier track Waves one of the Best Songs of 2025, the band continues to build a world centered on presence, connection, and shared intensity. Stream "Gods In Heat" now and watch the video to step inside ISTA’s expanding sonic ritual and follow Instagram and Spotify.
