Sometimes the quiet is the only place big enough to hold what we’re feeling. That’s the pulse behind Tomás Tomás’ debut EP Sweet Sleep, a dream-soft project built for late walks, blurred thoughts, and the spaces where reality and reflection meet. The Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter and producer unravels a world of muted glow and emotional hush, inviting listeners into music made for wandering. Much of "Sweet Sleep" was created on living room floors using a headphone mic and a Scarlett Solo, minimal tools that helped shape the EP’s tender intimacy. His latest visual, Brought It Down, co-directed with actor Jaeden Martell, expands that world even deeper, capturing the quiet ache of searching for meaning in a city that never slows down. Tomás Tomás says:
Going through life is confusing, and fascinating, I feel like I'm constantly searching for answers and meaning. I tend to reflect a lot, but through 2024 I had little time to smell the roses or any flower of any kind. Eventually I resorted to isolation, and it was liberating. Making this project became my therapy. I still have so many questions about this life, but speaking my mind through sound has brought me so much comfort. That’s truly what this project means to me. It’s an extension of my search for meaning. I reckon this music is best heard while on an evening walk.
Martell adds:
We coincidentally had eerily similar ideas for a music video and this ["Brought It Down"] essentially is an amalgamation of the two, with a healthy dash of practicality. We tend to dream too big for what’s achievable— the price you pay for bonding over Fellini and Chris Nolan. But we have such great creatives and producers (Matt and Tina, Jess Farran, HRPK) in our corner to keep us grounded and to make our visions tangible, which is the greatest privilege.

Atwood Magazine calls the track “a smoky, slow-burning fever dream of memory, longing, and late-night introspection,” praising how Tomás lets emotion guide the atmosphere. Across seven tracks, "Sweet Sleep" taps into unanswered questions, emotional stillness, and the comfort of not needing everything figured out. Previously released single 9th Life, spotlighted by SPILL Magazine, leans into cinematic melancholy reminiscent of Alex G and Radiohead, while the EP’s hazier moments wrap honesty in warm distortion and late-night calm. It’s a project meant to sit with you, not loudly, but deeply. Watch the official video and wander through the haze of "Sweet Sleep." Connect with Tomás Tomás’ on Soundcloud, Instagram, and YouTube.
