After luring us into their dusky world with debut single What About Jane, enigmatic duo Still Blank return with a shadowier twist. Their new two-part release reimagines Ain’t Quite Right through a fractured lens. This time unveiling Ain’t Quite Right (Unresolved) produced by the legendary Flood. Flood’s “Unresolved” version strips it bare, transforming its shoegaze-grunge undercurrent into an eerie slow-burn. Bleak and gripping, this version extracts the song’s emotional weight and dials up the dysfunction, revealing Still Blank at their most raw and riveting. The band shares:

The lyrics explore a relationship where both sides are suffocating and neither can let go. Flood pushed that dissonance even further, pulling out this feeling of unraveling.

Their music is steeped in imperfection, long walks through rural Wales, broken classical guitars, and a shared love for silence, mood, and lyrical honesty. Originally conceived during a stormy Manchester winter, “Ain’t Quite Right” marked a turning point for Jordy and Ben. The accompanying zoetrope visual matches that spiraling, hypnotic descent, a rotating metaphor of being stuck in patterns, both intimate and existential. This fall, Still Blank will join Royel Otis across all European tour dates, bringing their emotionally charged live show to new audiences. Watch the zoetrope visual to “Ain’t Quite Right (Unresolved)” and follow Still Blank on Spotify, Apple Music, Instagram, Tik Tok, and YouTube.
