Love doesn’t shatter cleanly. Like a diary left open in the rain, VOL. 3 smears confession across distortion. Novulent lets stains echoes and guitar distortion surge, retreat, then erupt again into something immersive and unguarded. The 13-track release closes a coming-of-age trilogy that began in 2023, tracing heartbreak, healing, and now hard-won clarity through waves of shoegaze haze, post-punk tension, and dream pop shimmer. Metallic distortion collides with sudden stillness. Calm fractures into chaos. The sound of emotions caught under fluorescent light at 2 a.m. If VOL. 1 carried the bruises and VOL. 2 searched for clarity, "VOL. 3" stands in the wreckage and admits the truth: nobody leaves untouched. Heavily inspired by dark, similarly themed early 2000s films like Thirteen, All About Lily Chou-Chou and Mysterious Skin, Novulent says:

'VOL. 3' is the end of a three-album trilogy, a coming-of-age film but in music form, detailing my life with love. From good to bad to ugly to beautiful, I now understand what love is. After listening to this album, you, too, will find that comfort and understanding like I did in the end... the story is never black and white — actually, it’s always grey.

Lead single new low floats in bittersweet dream-pop air, while boys lie and girls steal leans into distortion and accountability, embracing the uncomfortable space where blame dissolves into shared fault. Standout cut dysphoria captures that volatility in real time — interwoven guitars blur before detonating into double-kick thuds and crashing percussion, then dissolving into a gorgeously placid stretch. Each track feels diaristic, but never small; vulnerability here is amplified, not whispered. The release arrives at a moment of visible ascent. Following the RIAA Gold certification of breakout single scars, a headline set at Dallas’ inaugural NOVMAS FEST, and national touring with a full band amplifies the album’s bright-black sonics, Novulent stands firmly in their evolution. Step into "VOL. 3" and experience the trilogy’s closing frame. Be sure to connect with Novulent on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
